Blockchain.com is mixing digital currency with digital creativity in its latest ad campaign, currently playing on the ultra-high-definition stadium screen at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. The crypto finance firm tapped into generative AI to produce a unique one-minute spot that stars Rowdy, the team’s mascot, reimagined through an AI lens to pitch crypto. It’s the kind of brand play that caters to football fans while gently nudging them toward the future of finance—through vivid, AI-crafted visuals.
The ad was a full in-house production, built primarily using Runway Frames and Google Imagen 4 to conjure up about 300 concept images. From there, Blockchain.com whittled the content down to 50 key visuals, which were then super-sized and turned into 100 frames using Magnific. Wrapping it up, the tech stack included Kling, used for animating those frames into video segments that now loop on one of the world’s most-watched screens. Essentially, it’s a crypto love letter rendered by machines, and broadcast to 80,000 fans.
With the ad running through the end of the year, Blockchain.com is clearly betting on visibility and novelty to move the needle. While no performance metrics have been released yet, the use of multiple AI tools—from image generation to animation—points to a growing trend in brand storytelling leans hard on new tech.
