Kroger Launches AI-Powered Agent Monday for CPG Brands

Kroger’s media and data science division, powered by 84.51°, is giving CPG brand partners a little extra time back in their Mondays by launching Agent Monday—an AI-generated email digest tailored specifically for category managers. The weekly report taps into Kroger’s Stratum platform to deliver automatically curated performance insights covering everything from last week’s household trends to how Halloween candy fared versus previous years. Think competitor benchmarks, geographic anomalies, and promo performance, all distilled and in your inbox before your first coffee.

Built with AI that curates and prioritizes relevant insights for each brand, this tool aims to reduce the manual labor marketers spend Mondays sifting through data to prep for leadership meetings. More than 600 unique reports were sent by 8 a.m. on launch day. Bonus points: it doesn’t just stop at performance—it recommends next steps by pulling in third-party news and understanding Kroger’s ad capabilities. So, if your yogurt sales are slipping or gummy eyeballs are spiking, you’ll know what to do next—and fast.

Agent Monday isn’t Kroger’s only AI experiment. It’s also building real-time, in-platform AI summaries and tools to help brands go from insight to activation in a few clicks. It’s part of a broader retail data arms race—Walmart’s rolling out something similar for its Scintilla platform.
