IPG is doubling down on precision marketing by teaming up with Aaru, a startup that specializes in AI-driven human simulations. The aim? To simulate how real audiences might react to campaigns—before the campaigns even launch. These virtual humans, fueled by licensed, ethics-focused data, are now part of IPG’s Interact platform and Acxiom toolkit, boosting everything from creative testing to audience targeting across sectors like finance, healthcare, and CPG.
Unlike traditional predictive analytics, Aaru’s tech aims to act more like a marketing crystal ball—forecasting emotional reactions and refining creative in near real-time. IPG CEO Philippe Krakowsky says combining this with Acxiom and Interact gives them a sharper edge for anticipating campaign performance and speeding up delivery. Jayna Kothary, IPG’s chief solutions officer, is joining Aaru’s advisory board, signaling the holding company’s long-term bet on simulation as a core strategy.
To make all this innovation feel a bit more tangible, the two companies are launching a Simulation Studio—essentially a showroom for clients to see predictive modeling in action.
