Ad Age’s latest Top 5 AI activations roundup arrives in a month when Meta shipped Muse Image, the first model from its Superintelligence Labs, and Google pushed lightweight versions of its Omni video and Nano Banana image models to cut marketers’ inference costs — models that increasingly reach advertisers directly inside the ad platforms.
The brand work spans the funnel. Chiquita marked America’s 250th with an AI-generated anthem from studio Silverside and agency Mediaplus, placing bananas in the Wild West and at Woodstock — a somewhat edited history, given that Chiquita’s bananas are primarily grown in Central America, where the company’s past is complicated. Amazon introduced Alexa+ Agentic Ads, interactive ads that complete purchases inside the ad — the demo ordered a Papa Johns pizza from an Alexa device. And the Fi Ultra pet tracker’s “Unleash the Wild” spot from Dolsten & Co. was entirely AI-generated — dogs included — using Anthropic’s Claude, Kling AI, and Google’s Veo, with photorealistic digital twins of Fi employees’ real dogs and prompts engineered for live-action imperfections: “the shake of a handheld camera, the texture of a muddy GoPro lens.”
The top spot went to no brand at all. Throughout the World Cup, creators flooded feeds with AI-generated soccer stars reimagined as anime characters — Erling Haaland has conceded he resembles a “Dragon Ball” villain — and Higgsfield AI rode the wave after creator Steven Wommack’s tutorial went viral. The month’s biggest AI activation, in other words, was invented by the audience.
