Almond Breeze Roasts AI Hype with Help from the Jonas Brothers

Almond Breeze is tired of AI marketing nonsense—and they’re not alone. Teaming up with the Jonas Brothers, the brand kicked off 2026 with a three-minute comic mini-movie that turns the mirror back on runaway generative AI gimmicks. The film, created with agency McKinney and production partner Cylndr Studios, runs through a series of hilariously overproduced, algorithm-driven ad concepts—from dairy wars in space to retro milkmen—all pitched to the brothers by overly eager fictional agents.

The comedic twist? All the AI-powered pitches are intentionally overwrought and cringe-inducing, leading the Jonas Brothers (and the audience) to the same conclusion: just be real. The spot wraps with a refreshingly straightforward message and a mantra that Almond Breeze marketing VP Maya Erwin says reflects growing skepticism towards the tech’s role in branded content. Instead of chasing clicks with synthetic flash, the brand invites audiences to poke fun and opt for substance over spectacle.

The ad will be chopped into bite-sized versions for streaming and socials, while an influencer push encourages creators to make their own AI-spoof content starring—you guessed it—the band. As McKinney’s Omid Amidi put it, when your product is solid, you don’t need the gimmicks
